Should Child Abuse Law Change

Many say, YES! The Pennsylvania Task force on Child Protection was charged to review the definition of child abuse, require harsher penalties when mandated reporters fail to do so and broaden the definition of ‘perpetrators’ under state law. This week, Northampton and Monroe County experts in domestic violence prevention, child protection and prosecution are planning a training event through F.A.C.E.S. to educate professionals and the community with a full day conference entitled, “Abuse Awareness; NO ONE Deserves to Be Hurt” on 10/25/2013 at Northampton Community College, Fowler Center in Bethlehem.
